TUBULAR CONTROL ARMS

Factory control arms for the SS are the same as what Chevrolet puts on Grandmas Caprice. Bushing deflection combined with control arm flex creates erratic handling and inconsistent rear end stability when subjected to the added loads of performance driving. BMR control arms are built using 1-5/8" x .120" rollcage tubing with 1/4" thick mounting plates for a bulletproof combination. Lower arms are available stock length or 3/4" longer than stock to properly center the wheels in the wheelwells(See below illustration) and both are equipped with swaybar mounting holes and greaseable, low deflection polyurethane bushings. Upper control arms are available in either fixed or adjustable versions. Adjustable uppers allow "on-car" adjustability by simply loosening the jamnuts and turning the adjuster. Now you can adjust your pinion angle "on-car" without unbolting the control arm. These adjusters are by far the strongest in the industry. Made from 1-1/8" CNC milled steel then zinc plated for corrosion resistance, they truly are overkill! Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat. NOTE: In some instances, mainly due to ride height variation, it may be necesarry to install a longer driveshaft when using extended length control arms.

UTCA001 Stock length upper control arms $145.95 pr.
UTCA003 Extended length upper control arms $145.95 pr.
UTCA002-1 Adjustable stock length upper control arms $229.95 pr.
UTCA002 Adjustable extended length upper control arms $229.95 pr.
TCA009 Stock length lower control arms $209.95 pr.
TCA007 Extended length lower control arms $209.95 pr.

DRIVESHAFT SAFETY LOOP

Part # DSL002 - $94.95

Most tracks require a driveshaft safety loop for cars running faster than 12.99 in the quarter. This NHRA approved loop is a direct bolt-in for the B-body chassis using existing floorpan mounting holes. No drilling or welding required. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.

SWAYBARS

SB006 - Front Swaybar Kit w/bushings - $189.95

SB008 - Front "F-Body" swaybar kit w/bushings - $189.95

Click to see a larger image

BMR offers two versions of this solid 32mm(1.25") front swaybar for the B-Body chassis. One is a larger version of the OE swaybar designed around the SS bar and the other is patterned after the popular 2nd Generation F-Body swaybar. Both are cold formed solid bars designed to resist long term fatigue and provide the best "memory" possible. Upgrade the handling of your car significantly with this easy, 1 hour mod. Shipped complete with all required bushings and hardware. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat. NOTE: Because part #SB008 is not a specific application bar, the bend pattern is not similar to OE Impala bars. It is not intended for lowered applications.

XSB003 - Rear Xtreme swaybar

$229.95

The best handling mod-per-dollar you can spend on your Impala SS or any other B-body chassis. Manufactured from massive solid 1.5" diameter cold formed steel. Combined with the 1.25" front sway bar, you will notice a suspension that provides more neutral handling with almost non-existent body roll. A must for the B-Body chassis! Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.

SBP006 - Swaybar kit(front and rear) - Save $20 - $399

PROTHANE BUSHINGS

WHY USE URETHANE?

Production vehicles are built using rubber bushings in control arms, strut arms, leaf springs, body mounts, motor mounts, transmission mounts, sway bars and shocks. Additionally, rubber components can be found used on coil spring pads, leaf spring pads and suspension bump stops. Not only are rubber components on the soft side to accomodate the typical car and truck buyer, they also deteriate rapidly. This contributes to premature component failure, a "spongy" ride and less than ideal performance handling. Urethane can correct these conditions, while improving driveability.
